When this singer and actor renounces the world of gospel music at the age of nineteen years, he has already had a long career as head of modulations, training for his celebrated recordings Savoy with the Rev. James Cleveland.
Discovered by the producer in Philadelphia, Norman Connors, who invited him to attend his album Take it to the limit in 1980, Glenn Jones inaugurates its record on the charts in 1983 with I Am Somebody to meet real success the following year with the album Finesse and the single Show me , third on the charts black.
In 1985, he popularized the song of the television series Finder of Lost Loves in a duet with Dionne Warwick, a few months before leaving RCA for Jive. The five years have seen his career flourish with Glenn Jones albums ( We've Only Just Begun (The Romance is not over) in 1987) and All for you ( Stay in 1990) but that is Atlantic, which opened the doors of fame in 1992 with Here I go again whose title track became head of R & B charts, I've been Searchin '(Nobody Like You) moving into the top 10 in stride. Here I am two years later and It's time in 1998 did not follow the same path, Glenn Jones seems to have receded since the studios.
